“Brother and sister, together as friends, ready to face whatever life sends. Joy and laughter or tears and strife, holding hands tightly as we dance through life.”
– Suzie Huitt
I remember the day I brought my daughter home very clearly. My son was almost five years old at the time and very excited to meet his baby sister. After months & months of asking when she would come, she was finally here! I had a planned c-section and wasn’t feeling up to moving around to much. The curiosity of this little human was something that had consumed my son. He didn’t want to take his eyes off of her. As she grew older, the bond between them grew even more. He was very proud of her. Every little accomplishment she did, he was right behind her and cheering her on. Now I’m not saying the relationship between my two kids is perfect. They have moments where I could almost pull my hair out. Moments where they couldn’t stand to share or he just wanted a second of peace. At the end of the day, she’s his favorite person and that’s her hero.
